Primox 25mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.

Primox 25mg Tablet is probably unsafe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggest that the drug could represent a significant risk to the baby.

Primox 25mg Tablet is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Primox 25mg Tablet is recommended.
CAUTION
Primox 25mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Primox 25mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.Inform your doctor if you develop any signs and symptoms of jaundice while taking this medicine. Use of Primox 25mg Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease.

How to use Primox Tablet
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Primox 25mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
How Primox Tablet works
Primox 25mg Tablet increases the levels of chemical messengers in the brain that help in regulating the mood and treat depression.
Common Sleepiness, Increased heart rate, Weight gain, Difficulty in urination, Orthostatic hypotension (sudden lowering of blood pressure on standing), Dry mouth, Constipation.
Expert advice for Primox Tablet
The main dose should be taken at night as this drug may produce drowsiness or sleepiness. It can take 4 to 6 weeks for Primox to start working. You should continue the treatment for at least 6 months after you feel better to stop depression from coming back. If your doctor asks you to stop Primox, you should reduce the dose slowly over 4 weeks. You should not discontinue it abruptly. Avoid driving or operating machinery as it may decrease alertness. Avoid consuming alcohol when taking the Primox, as it may cause excessive drowsiness and calmness. The addiction/dependence potential of Primox is very less. It may be extremely dangerous in overdose.
